If you’re carrying tools, camping gear, or anything you can’t afford to lose, this cover gives you the peace of mind of a hard shell in a roll-up design. The BAK Revolver X4s uses 1/4" thick, aircraft-grade aluminum slats covered by a double-coated, matte black vinyl skin. That combination blocks out weather, resists impact, and can support up to 400 lbs evenly distributed. The aluminum body prevents cutting or prying while the vinyl surface keeps a sleek look that matches the truck’s lines.

When you need to haul something tall, there’s no need to pull the whole cover off. Just drop the tailgate, release one of the corner cords, and roll the cover forward. It secures neatly behind the cab using built-in nylon straps and sturdy buckles, leaving the stake pockets open for tie-downs or accessories. The hybrid slat design rolls evenly every time, so you’re not fighting with misalignment or bulky folds.

Some covers stick up and make the bed lines look bulky. The Revolver X4s sits nearly flush, only about 1-1/2" above the rails. Its all-matte black finish carries through the vinyl top and aluminum underbody for a clean, uniform appearance. Beveled edges and integrated seals direct water off the sides so it stays tight and smooth through rain or sun without drain tubes or adjustments.

Opening and closing the cover is as simple as pressing down the rear slat. When you do, the built-in latches lock along both sides, and the rotating teeth clamp onto each slat for a secure hold from front to back. With the tailgate locked, the bed is sealed and protected without extra steps or Velcro to fuss with. Pull either release cord to roll it back up in seconds.

The clamp-on rails mount inside the bed with no drilling required. Slotted brackets and pre-installed shims square themselves for a snug fit, so you’re not loosening and retightening clamps to get things aligned. Once in place, the frame stays tight, the cover rolls smoothly, and you get a tough, low-profile solution built for everyday use.

Ratings & Reviews
I’ve had this for a year now. The good: Very nice product, I recommend it. The rollaway ease is great - quick, easy, compact and reliable during near every day use. Effective watertight (not water proof) seal. Definitely recommend the rugged vinyl of the X4 over the X2.
The not so good: the ribs can get kinked and are hard to work back into position when they do. This was really only an issue during initial install, so just be cautious to avoid letting it bend the wrong way. The plastic end caps on the lock rail can pop off, so I recommend using adhesive to hold them firmly in place.
Overall it’s great. Definitely recommend.
Great cover. Easy to install. I like the ability to set objects on top of the topper without worrying about damage. My only dislike would be how hot the components get in the direct FL sun. It could easily burn your hands when rolling the cover up to its retracted position.
The tonneau cover fits as advertised no leaks it has been a great addition to my truck I really like the way I have my whole bed to use and still have the security of a hard cover without blocking my view out of the rearview mirror for hoking up my fifth wheel trailer.
Literally the best cover there is on the market. It’s sleet. It’s durable and I get compliments everywhere I go. Thank you etrailer.
would have given it a 5 star rating ... BUT ...on a VERY windy day in Kansas ... somehow the cover bowed enough to slip out of the latch rail ...very strong side-wind & it was seen floating up & down in my rear view mirror ...I quickly pulled over to secure it! The small rear corner plastic seal was lost and the other later became so warped in the summer heat it was unusable - after an extended period of being in rolled /stowed position! So now I get a wet rear bed liner when I drive through rain & the carwash ... but as my one initial experience with the customer service was not great I have not followed up on trying to get replacement parts! I use black gorilla tape to seal the rear corners! Othe than that -I really like the security for my truck bed contents, the ease of use ease of install and I just double check the latch (& rail alignment) by thumping it upwards each side before closing tailgate ...no more issues with side-winds!
Great fit and easy to install
I like its slim profile look and solid top. I highly recommend this cover with the following exception. In cold weather, the top can freeze in its tracks after a car wash or rain. It is then almost impossible to roll up without putting a heater in the bed. This is the only reason I give it 4 stars. I still would buy it again since I don’t roll up the top much in the winter.
Good quality but very overpriced.
Great cover! Easy to install by yourself with no help. I've had this cover for over a year. It has held up great with no sun fade, is extremely durable and has a great seal to keep the weather out of the truck bed. 100% recommend!
I wanted to like it a lot, but it definitely came with some problems. Ive had it installed for about a year and it has been nice to secure my stuff and still have the option of a completely open bed. Unfortunately it required some tweaking and a bed length shim to fit my truck, which was supposed to be custom fit. I also had to recrimp the release cable once, and the rails frequently ice up in the winter, making it hard to open.
I've had it for about a year now. Good quality and provides excellent security to your cargo bed. Freezing temperatures can make it difficult or impossible to roll up, especially after being exposed to wet conditions-then freezing. I've had to go through the heated car wash a couple times in order to thaw it out to roll it up. However, I would definitely still buy again.
Customer service from E-Trailer was exceptional as usual big shout out to Cammi F. Thank you for keeping me updated as this was actually delivered from manufacturer.
Well made, easy install.
Love this cover and after a year no fade and still looks brand new.
Purchased this in February. By August this product was already failing. As a roll up tonneau you would expect it to not fail where the cover sits when rolled up but that is exactly what is happening. Photos speak for themselves. I do not recommend you purchase this.
Will be reaching out to customer service today. Will see how how well they support their product.
Mostly a great cover. I've had this cover on my 2021 Ram 8' bed for 1 year. Install took about 45 minutes. There are 2 issues. After snow or rain and temperatures drop below freezing the cover's locking system along the rails freezes making it very difficult to open or close. You have to go the rails and pull the mechanism free. This year I will try WD 40 prior to the winter season to displace moisture.
2nd, issue two of the hinged supports in the cover separated after being rolled up during a several day trip. One about 3 months ago the second 2 weeks ago.The first one was mostly cosmetic. The second separation would not allow the cover to close without forcing it. I contacted BAK and they quickly opened a warranty claim. After sending them photos and a description of the problem they sent a replacement cover. The 5 year warranty is a pluse. Hopefully this is a one off issue. If I have the issue again I will ask for a different cover.
It works great. However, it was a bit harder than advertised to install.
I had these mirrors (same brand but different model) for my 2016 Silverado and used them for the past 8 years when towing our camper. They installed easily and quickly and were also easy to remove until I needed them again. Since getting a new Silverado I opted for these type of mirrors again. I test fit these new ones and again they go on and off easily. I anticipate them holding up as well as my old ones
The original cover was improperly sized from the factory (direct shipment from BAK due to backorder). etrailer, as usual, went above and beyond to get me the correct fitting cover. The new cover fits perfectly and looks great on my truck. Hopefully it will last, though I worry about the quality considering BAK did not notice they sent me a cover with the wrong dimensions originally. Giving 4 stars due to poor QA from the factory on the original shipment.
This is my second BAK cover. I had the flip before this one. I definitely prefer this roll up style as it is much easier to open/close and not nearly as heavy. It would be 5 stars except for the fact that I have to constantly re-adjust and pull the cover back towards the tail gate. It seems to slide forward a micro amount with each opening. So after a few weeks of opening and closing there is a small gap between the tailgate and cover so I have to move it back to seal the gap. Otherwise love this cover.
Looks great!
Works great, and our camping generators fit under it!
I am happy to report that after a year of use since I installed it, my Revolver cover is still solid, and in perfect condition. Only once did I have a little trouble opening it due to the locking rails icing up during an extremely cold day. I was able to free it up with minimal effort within a few minutes, and without causing it (or me) any damage.
The cover looks great, keeps the bed dry, and I’ve received many compliments. Also, even with my full 8’ bed, it doesn’t restrict my view through the rear window when rolled up.
Very happy with both the product and the customer service. Originally I was given a ship date and that date changed after the order was placed. I emailed with Lauren and she was great! It was delivered one day ahead of the original time. This is my second BAK Revolver cover. I had the first on my truck for eight years until I sold the truck. The cover is secure, almost watertight, and looks amazing.
